Abtrace supports over 500 primary care practices across the UK, serving 6 million people. We automate the delivery of measurements, vaccinations, blood tests, reviews, and other routine care. We improve healthcare outcomes, reduce operational burden, and create better experiences for both staff and patients.

Role Overview
We're a small data squad building dashboards for customers and internal teams. Demand is high and growing, and we need a talented data analyst to help us keep up – and to make our work better as we scale.
This is a hands-on role with real ownership from day one. You'll work directly with stakeholders across product, operations, and clinical teams, and you'll be the second technical voice on the squad, meaning your work is visible, your reviews matter, and you'll help shape how we work. Our infra isn't perfect and the request queue is real. If you want a polished, mature data stack, this isn't it yet. If you want to help shape one, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards for external customers and internal stakeholders
- Handle custom analysis requests – turning vague questions into clear answers for clinical, product and operations teams
- Write SQL to pull, transform, and validate data from a mix of sources (warehouse tables, exports, CSVs)1
- Partner with various stakeholders across the organisation to solve problems
What we're looking for
- Strong SQL: you can write, read, and debug it confidently
- Experience with dashboards, including visualisation, data models and transformations: especially Power BI experience (or strong BI tool experience and willingness to learn Power BI quickly)
- Hands-on experience with data modelling and transforming large datasets into insights
- Comfortable with data complexity and enjoy the challenges this brings
Nice to have
- Experience with dbt or similar transformation tooling
- Experience, interest or curiosity in data engineering (pipelines, ETL processes, data warehousing). We have infrastructure challenges to solve as we grow, and you will have the opportunity to grow into this
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related tools
