What is Flagstone?

Flagstone is many things. An online savings platform, reinventing how individuals, businesses, and charities manage, protect, and grow their cash. A diverse group of people, bound by a collaborative spirit, and shared purpose. And lastly, a thriving, profitable business – where smart people do their best work.

Each definition shares a common thread: our unique culture. It’s our pride and joy. And our competitive advantage.

A feel for our culture:

To revolutionise the savings market, we need to be at our best. But high performance takes more than talent – it takes a culture of kindness, respect, and growth.

That’s why we’re building a diverse, inclusive community, where your voice is heard and valued. Where, with close support and room to develop, you can surpass even your own expectations. And be rewarded for it.

We may not change the world, but we can change the world of financial technology. And all it takes is a winning mix of drive, talent, and empathy. Our culture celebrates all three.
But enough about us. Let’s talk about you.

Does this sound like you?

You’re a passionate Analytics Engineer with experience working as a bridge between Product, Data Engineering, and the wider business. You love all things data and are excited by the prospect of joining a scale up on their growth journey.

What you'll do

Reporting to the Analytics Engineering Team Lead, you will partner closely with Product teams to deliver the data, reporting, and insights they need for MI, OKR reporting, and measuring product outcomes. You will also be surfacing insights that enable a data driven Product Feature roadmap, prioritising key client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain robust data models and pipelines to ensure product and other teams have access to accurate, trusted data.
  • Work closely with Product Managers and Analysts to understand their strategic analytics requirements, translating them into scalable, well governed data infrastructure that supports decision making at pace.
  • Help to translate complex source data into clear, actionable insights for decision making.
  • Ensure accuracy, governance, and lineage across datasets critical to product reporting.
  • Enable self service analytics for product teams through AI assisted data exploration, powered by MCP
  • Contribute to the development of our data platform, ensuring scalability as the business grows.
  • Contribute to the creation of a single source of truth for business metrics by defining, documenting, and maintaining a data dictionary to ensure consistency and clarity across teams.

What you'll bring

  • Strong SQL skills and experience building data models and pipelines using dbt on cloud warehouses (preferably Databricks or similar modern data warehouses).
  • Experience using Python to support data transformation, automation and advanced analysis within analytics workflows.
  • Solid understanding of product metrics, financial and CRM data.
  • An ability to balance technical build (ETL, modelling, data engineering) with analytical insight (storytelling, stakeholder communications).
  • A proactive approach to leveraging AI agents and automated workflows to improve data modelling standards and drive efficiency as we scale our warehouse.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure as a cloud platform, alongside experience with Git and CI/CD workflows to support collaborative, production-grade analytics development.
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work cross functionally and explain data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive problem solving and a delivery focused mindset.
  • Understanding of fundamental data governance policies, and the ability to embed effective data quality monitoring into analytics workflows.

How we reward you:

At Flagstone, the benefits extend beyond false gifts like “fruit and snacks”. Instead, we invest in your health, wealth, and professional development. Here’s a selection of our benefits:
