Description

About Us:

Every day, somewhere in the world, important decisions are made. Whether it is a private equity company deciding to invest millions into a business or a large corporation implementing a new strategic direction, these decisions impact employees, customers, and other stakeholders.

Consulting and private equity firms come to proSapient when they need to discover knowledge to help them make great decisions and succeed in their goals. It is our mission to support them in their discovery of knowledge.

We help our clients find industry experts who can provide their knowledge via interview or survey: we curate this knowledge in a market-leading software platform; and we help clients surface knowledge they already have through expansive knowledge management.

The Role:

We’re looking for a technically minded Analytics Engineer to join us on a 6-month contract to help shape and scale our data and analytics strategy. Sitting at the intersection of data engineering and analytics, you’ll be instrumental in transforming raw datasets into clean, reliable, and insightful reporting tools.

You’ll work across the full data lifecycle – from data ingestion and transformation using SQL and dbt, through to visualisation in Tableau – ensuring our data is optimised for performance and decision-making. This is a hands-on, engineering-heavy role, ideal for someone with strong foundations in data modelling and pipeline building, who enjoys making data accessible, accurate, and easy to interpret.

The key duties of this role will include:

  • Build, transform, and manage data pipelines using SQL and dbt, ensuring scalable, reliable, and well-documented models.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Client Services teams to identify data needs and define metrics.
  • Develop and maintain intuitive dashboards in Tableau, empowering teams with self-serve insights.
  • Drive data governance and champion a single source of truth for critical business metrics.
  • Ensure datasets are clean, validated, and performant, with clear lineage and documentation.
Requirements

The key skills needed for this role are:

  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working in a data role with a focus on analytics engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, dbt and Tableau – all are essential and will be tested in the technical interview.
  • A practical understanding of data modelling, warehouse best practices, and data quality principles.
  • Clear communication skills and a problem-solving mindset.

Interview Process:

We keep our process straightforward and focused on giving you the chance to showcase your strengths:

1. Initial Chat (30 mins)

A conversation with our Talent team to learn more about you, your experience, and assess core competencies.

2. Take-Home Exercise

A practical task that gives you the opportunity to demonstrate your dbt & Tableau technical skills in a real-world context – completed in your own time.

3. Final Interview (60 mins)

A deep dive discussion with the hiring manager, where you'll walk us through your take-home exercise and share your thinking and approach.

  • Enhanced Maternity & Paternity pay.
  • Annual Leave - 25 days + bank holidays which includes a week's closure over the Christmas period to fully reset.
  • MyMindPal app - Online support for mental fitness that helps people to stress less and enjoy life more
  • Corporate Events - From quarterly gatherings to our annual winter & Summer parties, we love to celebrate, collaborate and have fun together!

We are committed to building an inclusive workplace – did you know that marginalized groups are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every requirement listed? If you are interested in the above role, but don’t necessarily tick every box, we encourage you to apply anyway – this role could still be a great match! Take a look at our diversity statement
