The Role

We seek a data-driven Analyst of Video Analytics to join our Audience Strategy Analytics team. In this role, you must have technical experience with modeling, data wrangling and generally excel at data reporting and visualization at scale. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the digital video space and a deep understanding of the strategies that drive successful video performance in this industry. The position will be based in the UK or Mexico and report to the Director of Audience Strategy Analytics.


You will oversee and drive the execution of the data analytics pipeline and deliver tools to enhance video performance and effectiveness. You will be responsible for leveraging data to optimize and improve Condé Nast’s digital video footprint to drive business growth.


What will you be doing?

  • Support Condé Nast’s YouTube-first video strategy by operationalizing bespoke analyses by exploring, transforming, and synthesizing the available YouTube data but also off-platform partners (CTV, Social, and Partners Sites)

  • Leverage SQL for dashboarding tools to create reports for key leadership in editorial and audience development; tracking traffic changes and growth opportunities

  • Maintain, track, and govern video metadata (and lead on resolving metadata gaps as needed) that is required for accurate and actionable data reporting 

  • Cross collaborate with internal teams, including programming, operations, branded,  commercial and finance, to ensure seamless integration and execution of cross-functional initiatives, including forecasting and KPI-setting

  • Provide guidance for KPI forecasting across all brands and markets for video, collaborating cross-functionally to approve, estimate, and monitor KPIs

  • Prepare and automate daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly reports and presentations to communicate analytics commentary to key stakeholders

  • Consistently look at video analytics data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to optimize campaigns, improve content performance, and enhance user experience 

  • Own cultural tentpole analysis and Ad Hoc requests for pulling data and turning it into a cohesive narrative easily understandable by stakeholders

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in the media and entertainment landscape. Integrate audience shifts and platform trends into any analysis that’s provided


Who you are:

  • 1-3 years of specialization in Data Science / Analytics: SQL, Advanced Excel, Python

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, computer science, or a related field

  • Strong understanding of KPIs for digital video businesses

  • Self-starter who can provide video analytics dashboard support cross-functionally (Consumer, Partnerships, Product, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence)

  • Strong analytical skills to use data to drive strategic decision-making on video platforms: YouTube, Social, O&O, CTV, Partner Sites

  • Proficiency in analyzing large volume of video data, extraction actionable insights, and presenting findings through visualizations

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience creating models, projections, and executive materials

  • Expertise in developing projection models and testing creative programming strategy in video
