Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of this role is to research, analyze, reconcile and summarize financial data for use by management in making financial decisions. This role oversees the consolidation of data from various sources to prepare accurate and timely financial reports in accordance with GAAP and performs analysis, and trouble shoots areas of concern. Coordinate directly with financial planning, financial reporting and finance operations to drive continuous improvement for the business. Responsible for supporting the build out and standardization of common financial reporting standards across the full end to end process (Retained and outsourced) and adherence and improvement upon those standards.
Our hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Carlisle, PA, Salisbury, NC & Quincy, MA.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the month-end close activities including preparation of financial statements and reports. This role is responsible for the preparation and of period end journal entries (including accruals, reserve analysis) and reviews account reconciliations.
  • Reviews ledger activity for accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness, while interpreting trends and making recommendations for corrective action. Address questions and concerns relating to financial statements from multiple business partners.
  • Responsible for the preparation of periodic forecasts, variance and trend analysis, and analyzes results for management. Prepares account analysis and performs trend/flux analysis to identify, research, and explain variances to budget, forecasts, flash, etc. Responds to questions and solves problems as requested by department managers.
  • Responsible for compliance with accounting and reporting standards for external and internal management reporting under area of responsibility. Apply depth and breadth of expertise across functional area of expertise. Has extensive functional and project experience, is a recognized expert in a functional area and enough organizational and operational expertise to soundly identify relevant solutions and metrics. Will leverage Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies to work with responsible process area in the development of solutions.
  • Responsible for the process improvement programs to maximize the efficiency of the department. This requires thorough knowledge of systems to meet specialized needs. Apply expertise and core competencies gathered from major projects and functional experience to solve problems. Shares learnings and best practices with Analysts responsible for other process areas, and also leverages their learnings and experience.
  • Responsible for the internal and external audit process activities related to area of responsibility to assure the auditors receive necessary data, documentation, and explanations.
  • Responsible to safeguard and protect company assets ensuring compliance with Company policies and federal, state and local jurisdictions requirements/laws.
  • Provide support to various special projects. Provide guidance, leadership and mentoring to other associates as needed. Promotes an effective project / functional environment through the effective use of indirect mentoring and coaching skills.

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS preferred
  • Knowledge of Excel
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma preferred
  • Excel Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6-8 years of previous experience
  • SAP Software experience preferred
  • BS in Accounting

IL/MA/MD/NY Salary Range: $92,640 - $138,960
Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
