Job Description

Checkout.com is looking for an ambitious and talented Risk Policy Analyst II to join our growing Risk Operations team and support the expansion of our Alternative Payment Method (APM) offering, by providing robust risk management and analytical support. 

This role will be the primary analytical resource for maintaining key APM risk data. Supporting the APM enablement pipeline.and improving the operational efficiency of APM-related processes, you will need to work very closely with multiple stakeholders, including APM Relationships, Underwriting, Risk, Legal, Compliance and Product. 

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail oriented and able to prioritise multiple tasks, whilst exercising sound judgment within a fast-paced environment.

About You

  • Ideally 1-3 years of experience within a payments company.

  • Solid understanding of Alternative Payment Methods and their role within the payments ecosystem. 

  • Ability to efficiently review information to identify key risks and issues. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present succinct analysis and recommendations. 

  • Highly motivated with a growth mindset and desire to enhance payments industry knowledge. 

  • Comfortable working both independently and as a valued team member. 

What you'll be doing

  • Take ownership of the APM Risk List and Country Availability data, overseeing its governance to ensure it functions as the centralised, authoritative record for Checkout.

  • Review new APM partner contracts and to extract, analyse, and transpose relevant data into designated shared Checkout documents.

  • Translate Acceptable Use Policies (AUP’s) into Merchant Category Code (MCC) guidance.

  • Execute a periodic review of APM risk data to ensure ongoing accuracy and alignment with APM AUP’s and evolving partner policies.

  • Oversee and maintain compliance records for all APMs  

  • Analyse and support the optimisation of the end-to-end APM enablement process.

  • Manage APM partner audits

  • Support the development of APM exposure calculation methodology and determine where liability lies and if exposure can be discounted.
