Job Description

We are actively looking for an ambitious Scheme Compliance Analyst, who will assist in monitoring the risk assessment of our global e-commerce merchant’s portfolio. This is a multi-faceted role and this role will play a pivotal part within the function. The candidate will apply in-house methodology and use reporting tools to conduct reliable and proactive risk profiling.

The ideal candidate must be a strategic thinker who is able to read and digest in-depth card scheme rules and regulations to ensure all appropriate measures dealing with suspected cases of risk and fraud are acted upon accordingly.

How you'll make an impact

  • Stay informed about new and updated card scheme rules and regulations that affect the compliance and brand risk of Checkout.com 

  • Conduct preliminary assessments of merchants flagged by internal tools and third-party monitoring systems for potential non-compliance.

  • Assist in documenting compliance violations and the steps taken for remediation.

  • Participate in regular audits of the company's compliance processes to ensure adherence to card scheme rules.

  • Prepare detailed reports on compliance activities, findings, and resolutions for review.

  • Help and contribute to maintaining the company’s scheme compliance policies and procedure.

  • Assist in the development and delivery of compliance training materials for internal stakeholders.

  • Support the testing of compliance controls to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to gather information and clarify compliance requirements. 

  • Engage in ongoing professional development to grow knowledge in scheme compliance and risk management.

Qualifications

What we're looking for: 

  • Solution-driven approach, with exemplary problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent and demonstrated customer service skills.

  • Ability and willingness to maintain knowledge and skills with an emphasis on continuous learning about new trends.

  • Knowledge of card schemes rules and regulations would be an advantage.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field; Legal or compliance background is preferable.

  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
