Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Generalist Equity Fundamental Analyst to join our Long Only Convertible team. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine deep equity fundamental analysis with convertible bond investing, working within a collaborative environment that values rigorous research and disciplined investment decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equity Fundamental Analysis: Conduct comprehensive bottom-up fundamental research across multiple sectors and geographies to identify attractive investment opportunities for the convertible portfolio
  • Convertible Securities Evaluation: Analyze convertible bonds through an equity lens, assessing the underlying equity story, credit quality, and structural features to determine risk/reward profiles
  • Investment Recommendations: Generate actionable investment ideas with detailed written reports and presentations, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, and risk assessment
  • Portfolio Support: Work closely with portfolio managers to monitor existing positions, track company developments, and contribute to position sizing and risk management decisions
  • Company Engagement: Conduct management meetings, attend industry conferences, and build relationships with corporate management teams, sell-side analysts, and industry experts
  • Market Monitoring: Stay current on macroeconomic trends, sector dynamics, and market developments that may impact portfolio holdings or create new opportunities

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, CFA) preferred
  • Experience: 5 years of equity research or investment experience, preferably with exposure to convertible securities or credit analysis
  • Analytical Skills: Strong financial modeling capabilities, valuation expertise, and ability to synthesize complex information into clear investment theses
  • Generalist Approach: Demonstrated ability to analyze companies across diverse sectors and adapt quickly to new industries
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate investment ideas clearly and persuasively
  • Team Orientation: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team-based investment process
