Job Description:

At Abercrombie & Fitch, the EMEA Customer Research Analyst is a London-based in-house resource for brand and business partners across the region. A key advocate for the EMEA customer, this role is responsible for designing, executing and communicating high-quality customer research that informs brand, marketing, merchandising, and strategic decisions across both the Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister brands. The Analyst will work closely with the Customer Insights Manager and cross-functional partners, including global insights, brand strategy, merchandising, marketing, and digital teams, to ensure insights are translated into action.  

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the fashion retail industry, strong foundational research skills (qual and quant), exceptional analytical capabilities, as well as clear and confident communication skills (written and verbal). Alongside an insatiable curiosity about our customers, they will also bring a passion for problem-solving and for delivering clear, compelling, data-driven narratives to inspire customer-centric decision-making. 

This job is located at our Home Office in London, UK.

What Will You Be Doing? 

  • Executing primary research initiatives inclusive of writing briefs, programming surveys, moderating research engagements, synthesising actions/recommendations, delivering concise/impactful written reports 
  • Influencing business actions by translating insights into clear, actionable recommendations that support brand, marketing and product decisions across EMEA  
  • Supporting London-based cross-functional teams by representing and sharing knowledge of the EMEA customer consistently and effectively 
  • Working collaboratively with cross-regional analytics and insights teams to bring the holistic, global customer narrative to life for internal business stakeholders 
  • Contributing to the on-going evolution of the Customer Insights discipline at A&F Co. especially as it relates to learning about and strategically implementing new research technologies and techniques  
  • Additional responsibilities may include: research community management, project coordination, participant recruitment, report cataloguing, brand health tracking, etc. 

What Do You Need To Bring? 

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience 
  • Minimum 4 years in a customer/marketing research, analytics or other related role 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience conducting primary quant and qual research utilising research communities/panels, survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Alchemer) and MS Office programmes (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Methodological expertise and excellence with the ability and passion to implement research best practices to tell a cohesive and actionable story 
  • Experience conducting advanced quantitative methodologies such as segmentation, Max/Diff, Conjoint, longitudinal brand tracking and comfortable moderating qualitative engagements such as focus groups and IDIs 
  • Proven ability to independently drive projects to conclusion and work effectively with a variety of cross-functional partners from various levels within a company 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity, structure and stakeholder-oriented storytelling 
  • A deep empathy for both the customer and your team's goals 
  • Positive, proactive, solutions-oriented attitude, with strong accountability and a collaborative mindset 
  • Willingness to travel – quarterly domestic or regional travel will be a requirement of this role 
  • Experience working in a Retail/eCommerce environment is strongly preferred 
  • Fluency in German a strong plus
