Position Overview

StepStone is looking for a detail-orientated individual for the UK Business Development team to help the existing client managers and business development professionals to manage their outreach across the UK wealth and GFI market.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Using Salesforce proactively to help map the market, build lists of prospects, event management and day-to-day updates.
  • Working with the existing UK sales team on a daily basis to build sales momentum and opportunities across the wealth and GFI channels
  • Liaise between the asset class investment teams and sales teams with a strong focus on StepStones semi-liquid platform.
  • Help construct customised presentations to support client meetings across asset classes
  • Help plan events, including logistical support around AV, presentations, venues, as well as invite lists and outreach.
  • Responding by e-mail and/or phone to client and prospect information requests
  • Joining meetings with clients and prospects where applicable.
  • Working on existing client data requests and partnering with StepStone’s dedicated private wealth operations team
  • Helping to build prospective roadshows, fundraising campaigns and marketing initiatives.
  • Generating reports for internal use
  • Upload and maintain research data within Salesforce
  • Able to travel to different StepStone offices and event locations in time.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Related client service experience in financial services, alternative fund or corporate administration or similar field experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated individual with demonstrated initiative, independence and adaptability
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using and managing Salesforce, Microsoft CRM and Microsoft Sharepoint or an equivalent database
  • Meticulous attention to detail; strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and manage time in a detail oriented environment
