As an AML verification manager, you’ll be providing expert information and advice on our verifications programme regarding Know Your Customer (KYC) processes and corporate due diligence on Affiliates and 3rd party contracts. You will be expected to communicate at all levels, internally and externally on verifications systems and projects. You will also lead a team of KYC Specialists including managing the teams’ deliverables and their personal development.
What you’ll be doing
As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:
- Management, training, and development of KYC Specialists
- Ensure quality and timely execution of corporate due diligence reviews and act as an escalation point
- Drive development and enhancement of existing verification systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the Verifications programme
- Produce Management information (MI) and reports for senior management
- Ensure engagement and alignment with other stakeholders within the AML team and broader Compliance department
- Oversee the customer verification process including liaison across the business and operations
- Management and escalation of high-risk due diligence cases
- Conduct 2nd level reviews on potential matches for Sanctioned Individuals, Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), and Adverse Media cases and action accordingly
- Assist Head of AML (Verifications & Payments) with internal and external compliance audits
- Manage verifications software vendor relationship
- Maintain a current understanding of AML/Verifications issues including policies, procedures, industry best practice and developing trends including new AML laws & regulations
- Identify and support the effective resolution of identified Verification deficiencies via QA process

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table
The necessary skills that we require for this role include:
- Understanding and knowledge of KYC and 3rd party Corporate Due Diligence
- Significant experience in an AML Verifications role or similar in a regulated industry
- Sanctions, Adverse Media, and Politically Exposed Persons knowledge
- Experience with regulatory requirements and documentation
- People management experience within a regulated industry
- Excellent research, analytical and reasoning skills
- Experience of working closely with both internal and external stakeholders
Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve
It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:
· Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations
· Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
· Previous experience with payment method due diligence and risk assessment.
