Role Overview

With IQVIA’s Applied Data Science Centre, the AI Science Consultant is an AI engineering-focused role dedicated to the development and optimisation of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) applications. The role places a strong emphasis on refining metadata to enhance model performance and providing AI engineering support for large language model (LLM) based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Refine and manage metadata to improve the performance of AI/ML models.
  • Provide AI engineering support for LLM-based applications, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and model fine-tuning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable AI/ML solutions.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer, ideally within the context of AI/ML projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in metadata refinement to boost AI/ML application performance.
  • Hands-on experience in AI engineering for LLM-based applications, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, context engineering and model fine-tuning.
