Sous Chef is our AI-powered assistant that helps restaurateurs make faster, smarter decisions. The AI Quality Analyst is a hybrid role spanning quality engineering, AI annotation, and product quality strategy. You’ll play a central role in ensuring Sous Chef delivers helpful, trustworthy, and delightful responses—every time.
You’ll dive deep into user feedback, evaluate how Sous Chef performs at scale, and work closely with engineers and designers to test and refine new releases. You’ll also shape the prompts, knowledge and metadata the assistant relies on to reason and respond.

About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- 3+ years of experience in QA, engineering, product operations, annotation, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong writing and reading comprehension skills.
- Experience testing backend APIs and frontend experiences.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and learning new systems quickly.
- Demonstrated use of and excitement about AI tools.
- Ability to manage and prioritize across multiple fast-moving workstreams.
Special Sauce:
- Familiarity with LLMs, conversational agents, or AI model evaluation.
- Experience with QA tools (e.g. Postman, Jira, test automation platforms).
- Background in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Basic understanding of system architecture or data pipelines.
