Role

As an AI Project & Product Manager, you are the connective tissue between a high-velocity engineering team and key business stakeholders. You operate at the intersection of technology and business, ensuring that AI solutions are not only technically sound but also business relevant and operationally viable. You will report directly to the Head of Digital Transformation, working closely to ensure all AI initiatives are seamlessly integrated into the organization's broader strategic roadmap.

You will focus on orchestrating delivery, aligning stakeholders, and maintaining a strong project cadence. While you won’t write code, you will actively engage in technical discussions with Infrastructure, Architecture and Security teams, challenge assumptions, and ensure that AI & Data engineering decisions are grounded in real-world business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary interface between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear alignment on goals, scope, and priorities
  • Translate business needs into structured product and project requirements
  • Challenge and validate technical decisions to ensure feasibility, scalability, and business impact
  • Protect engineering teams from ad-hoc requests and scope creep, maintaining focus and delivery velocity
  • Own and manage the project “heartbeat” (planning, prioritization, resource management, progress tracking, and reporting)
  • Drive delivery for the entire AI product lifecycle (PoC, MVP, Production), ensuring robustness and scalability of AI solutions
  • Facilitate communication across cross-functional teams, including IT, Business and external stakeholders
  • Identify risks early and proactively manage dependencies and trade-offs
  • Ensure continuous alignment between product vision and execution

Requirements

Who you are:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, 3+ years of experience in AI engineering.
  • Technically fluent: You have a strong technical foundation in AI & data and enough hands-on experience to understand system constraints, ask the right questions, and challenge engineering decisions constructively
  • AI/ML Understanding: Strong technical foundation with the ability to challenge engineering decisions constructively
  • Strategic thinker: You can zoom out to connect technical initiatives with broader business goals and long-term value
  • Highly organized: You bring structure to ambiguity, manage complexity effectively, and ensure consistent execution
  • Strong communicator: You can bridge technical and non-technical audiences with clarity and confidence
  • Pragmatic and delivery-focused: You balance perfection with progress and keep teams moving forward
  • Domain Expertise (Preferred): Exposure to formulation, chemistry or the Fragrance & Flavor industry.
  • Languages: Full professional proficiency in English; French is strongly preferred.
