The Role: AI Platform Engineer

As an AI Platform Engineer at Aries, you’ll help design, build, and evolve the internal AI platform that powers how we go to market and run our business. This includes orchestrating intelligent agents, stitching together third-party systems, and enabling fast iteration on experimental workflows that scale across the company.

You’ll work at the intersection of backend engineering, infrastructure, and AI application design—collaborating closely with engineering, GTM, and operations teams to build a one-stop platform for deploying, managing, and scaling AI-driven agents.

What You’ll Do

Build the Core Platform: Develop foundational systems that support portfolio company onboarding and drive intelligent GTM agents for outbound, inbound, and operational workflows.

Deploy and Monitor Agents: Design infrastructure to train, run, monitor, and evaluate AI agents from prototype to production.

Stitch Systems Together: Integrate third-party tools via APIs and state machines, enabling seamless experimentation and rapid deployment of AI-driven processes.

Drive Iteration: Enable fast experimentation by supporting the rollout of lightweight agents, and promote successful patterns into the productized platform.

Ensure Platform Reliability: Own system observability, performance, and security across agent pipelines and infrastructure.

Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with GTM, engineering, and operations stakeholders to generalize field needs into scalable platform capabilities.

Build for the Future: Help expand Aries into a core AI operating system that will eventually drive the lion’s share of company strategy.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–6+ years of experience in platform engineering, ML infrastructure, or backend development

• Strong Python skills (Go, Java, or TypeScript experience a bonus)

• Proven experience building and operating distributed systems and APIs

• Familiarity with tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, Postgres, Redis, Airflow, or LangChain

• Experience deploying or integrating LLMs or agent-based systems in production

• Excited to bridge systems, build reusable tooling, and ship with speed and ownership

• Passionate about infrastructure that creates leverage for the rest of the business
