Through online gaming, live broadcasts, and offline eSports, IEG assists the company in leading the global interactive entertainment market to create better interactive entertainment content experiences for users.What the Role Entails
We are exploring the next generation of AI-Native Games - games that are designed with AI as a core system, not just a feature.
As an AI-Native Game Design Intern, you will work closely with a small cross-functional team to prototype, iterate, and refine experimental game concepts powered by modern AI technologies.
This role is ideal for someone who loves games, understands AI, and is excited to build things hands-on using AI tools to push game design forward.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and prototype AI-Native gameplay systems, mechanics, and experiences.
Explore how LLMs, generative AI, agents, and procedural systems can be used as core game design elements.
Rapidly build and iterate game prototypes (from concept to playable demos).
Use AI tools to assist in:
Game design ideation and balancing
Narrative, dialogue, and world-building
Prototyping, scripting, and content generation
Collaborate closely with other members in a small, highly iterative team.
Refine prototypes into more polished designs through playtesting and feedback.
Strong passion for games and game design, with broad knowledge of different game genres.
Solid understanding of AI concepts (e.g. LLMs, generative models, agents, procedural generation).
Strong hands-on ability and willingness to experiment and build quickly.
Experience using AI tools in creative or technical workflows (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Copilot, etc.)
Ability to think critically about how AI changes game design, not just production efficiency.
Comfortable working in a fast-moving, ambiguous, exploration-driven environment.
Good communication skills and ability to express design ideas clearly.
Experience with game engines (Unity, Unreal, Godot, etc.)
Basic scripting or programming experience (Python, C#, JavaScript, etc.)
Experience building game prototypes or participating in game jam projects
Familiarity with AI-assisted pipelines or AI-driven game mechanics
