We are seeking a visionary AI Design & Research Lead to establish our design practice. As our first design specialist, you will shape how users experience our AI systems and conduct foundational research to inform our product development. This pioneering role combines UX leadership, user research expertise, and the ability to build a world-class design team from the ground up. You will work at the intersection of complex industrial systems and cutting-edge AI technology to create intuitive, impactful user experiences.

You will be responsible for developing frameworks that make complex AI capabilities accessible and valuable to users across various industrial contexts. This leadership position requires a deep understanding of both design principles and AI capabilities, with the vision to establish design as a core pillar of our product development process, leveraging AI to master rapid design and prototyping processes and the leadership skills to attract top talent to our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

● Establish and lead the UX/UI design framework for our AI-driven enterprise solutions

● Conduct rapid user research to understand the needs, workflows, and pain points of industrial users interacting with AI systems

● Develop intuitive interfaces that make complex AI capabilities accessible and valuable to non technical users

● Create design systems, patterns, and guidelines that ensure consistency and usability across our product portfolio

● Lead research initiatives to identify new opportunities for AI applications in industrial contexts

● Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and AI teams to integrate user-centered design into our development process

● Develop recruitment strategies and processes to attract top design talent to join our team

● Define user perspective in design decisions and establish user-centered design as a core value

● Leverage AI to master rapid prototyping

● Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, or related field, or equivalent industry experience

● 7+ years of experience in design strategy, UX/UI design, with at least 3 years focused on complex technical products or AI enterprise software

● Proven track record conducting user research and translating insights into effective design solutions

● Experience designing interfaces for AI or data-intensive applications

● Portfolio demonstrating successful design solutions for complex technical challenges

● Strong understanding of design systems and ability to create scalable design frameworks

● Experience building and leading design teams, with demonstrated success in attracting and developing talent

● Excellent communication skills and ability to advocate for design thinking across the organization Experience collaborating with engineering teams and understanding technical constraints Comfort working in ambiguous environments and ability to define design processes where none exist
