Partner with Account Executives on pilot scoping, success criteria, and technical-commercial discussions. About Us:

Fireworks is the platform for specialized intelligence, enabling companies to build, train, and serve AI models tailored to their own data, workflows, and products. Founded by the team behind PyTorch and backed by AMD, Atreides, Benchmark Capital, Index Ventures, Lightspeed, NVIDIA, Sequoia Capital, and TCV, Fireworks powers production AI with hundreds of state-of-the-art open models across text, image, embedding, audio, and multimodal workloads. Today, Fireworks is a Series D company valued at $17.5 billion, bringing together an ambitious, collaborative team that's building the future of enterprise AI.

The Role:

As an AI Deployment Strategist, you are the long-term owner of our most important customer accounts. You pair with Account Executives to close: scoping pilots, setting success criteria, and running the technical side of the commercial conversation. At signature, you take the account and stay on it, driving adoption and expansion over years rather than quarters, so AEs can move to the next deal. This role suits entrepreneurial, technically credible operators; founder and founder CEO backgrounds are a strong fit.

What we value most is first principles thinking: reasoning about unfamiliar problems from the ground up rather than from playbooks. You will be evaluated on this directly in the interview process, and strength here can outweigh gaps elsewhere in your background.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Account Ownership: Own the customer relationship and commercial outcome from signature onward, including adoption, expansion, and renewals.

  • Deal Support: Partner with AEs pre-signature on pilot scoping, success criteria, and technical-commercial framing.

  • Delivery Cadence: Run the operating rhythm of the account across the customer's and Fireworks' teams (FDEs, AMLEs, product, support).

  • Value Realization: Translate customer goals into concrete deployment milestones and make sure they land.

  • Expansion Strategy: Identify and drive new workloads, teams, and use cases within existing accounts.

  • Voice of Customer: Represent account needs internally with enough technical precision to be actionable.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • First principles and critical thinking: the ability to break down novel problems and reason to a solution without a reference implementation. This is the primary interview signal and can outweigh other qualifications.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent technical depth.

  • 3+ years in roles combining technical substance with commercial ownership (deployment strategy, technical consulting, founder, forward deployed, or similar).

  • Strong technical credibility: able to hold your own with customer engineering leadership and our field engineers, and to reason about AI infrastructure tradeoffs.

  • Track record of owning outcomes over long horizons, not handing off after the sale.

  • Excellent judgment, communication, and stakeholder management with senior audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Founder or founding team experience, especially as CEO or commercial lead of a technical product.

  • Experience deploying or operating AI/ML products in production with enterprise customers.

  • Experience navigating enterprise constraints in EMEA (procurement, data residency, GDPR, EU AI Act).

  • Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment.

Why Fireworks?
  • Solve Hard Problems: Tackle challenges at the forefront of AI infrastructure, from low-latency inference to scalable model serving.

  • Build What’s Next: Work with bleeding-edge technology that impacts how businesses and developers harness AI globally.

  • Ownership & Impact: Join a fast-growing, passionate team where your work directly shapes the future of AI—no bureaucracy, just results.

  • Learn from the Best: Collaborate with world-class engineers and AI researchers who thrive on curiosity and innovation.

Fireworks AI is an equal-opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all innovators.
