We’re a fast-growing social and creative comms agency, named in Campaign’s Best Places to Work in Marketing seven years running. We’re known for our high standards, big energy, and a culture built on people who genuinely care about their craft and each other.

We’re looking for an Agency Marketing & Operations Manager - someone who runs the engine room of our agency’s marketing, culture, and day-to-day operations. The person who keeps us sharp, cohesive, and ensures we present ourselves consistently internally and externally.

What you’ll be doing day-to-day

Agency Marketing & Comms

  • Own Agency awards: research, recommend, write entries (solo or with team inputs), and manage submissions
  • Source and write Agency case studies — from raw notes to polished stories
  • Update and maintain our website (Squarespace): new pages, case studies, team updates
  • Update and maintain our email marketing system (Hubspot): email campaigns, database management
  • Turn press articles and LinkedIn updates into blogs
  • Keep our platform profiles up to date (Creativepool, StudioSpace, Mosaic, DCA etc.)
  • Support Directors with LinkedIn content that showcases agency work and wins
  • Help run content and creative operations for our key events (Foresight, Onwards, etc.)
  • Liaise with our PR agency to ensure we hit press targets & get appropriate POV from the agency shared with relevant trade titles

Events & Culture

  • Plan and run agency events - socials, training sessions, Show & Tells, Company Catch-ups, monthly breakfasts, annual Offsite event
  • Source venues, manage RSVPs, book suppliers, brief design resource, oversee on-the-day execution
  • Manage birthday and anniversary moments (gifts, celebrations)
  • Help shape the ongoing employee experience — the small touches that make eight&four feel like eight&four

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Work alongside our People Director on recruitment admin — interview scheduling, panel coordination
  • Manage all aspects of new starter onboarding from offer to end of probation
  • Create onboarding schedules, liaise on IT setup with our Head of IT, run check-ins, coordinate feedback
  • Keep our HR platform bob and internal records accurate and updated
  • Ensure new joiners have a brilliant, seamless first impression

General Operations

  • Diary management for senior leadership (selective but important)
  • Maintain oversight of agency equipment, couriering, and office-day needs
  • Support with finance admin: Pleo approvals, receipt chasing, statement uploads
  • Ensure our office environment stays welcoming, well-run, and fully stocked
  • The go-to problem-solver for the team — the person people trust to just get things sorted

Requirements

Who you are

  • High-energy, proactive, organised - you see problems before others do
  • Strong writer with sharp judgement and a great eye for quality
  • Confident communicator, comfortable with stakeholders at all levels
  • Warm, people-first, and naturally good at building rapport
  • Able to juggle multiple moving parts without dropping the essentials
  • Excited by creative environments and the pace that comes with them

Experience that helps

  • Experience in a creative, social, or digital agency
  • Strong writing skills - awards, blogs, or case-study experience is a big advantage
  • Comfortable with CMS platforms (Squarespace, Hubspot or similar)
  • Experience supporting events or agency culture initiatives
  • Bonus: experience with HR or onboarding processes

Why this role matters

You’ll be at the heart of how eight&four feels and how the industry sees us — shaping our culture, telling our story, and making sure our internal machine runs clean, fast, and brilliantly. You’ll help us look after our people and show our clients and the wider industry what we’re capable of.
