Job title: Newslink Agency Manager 

The Newslink Agency Manager is responsible for leading a patch that will include a number of large advertising agencies. In this role you will be responsible for the development of both agency and client relationships, your main task will be to maximise revenue for Newslink from this patch.

This role is a key management position, you will work closely with the Newslink Commercial Business Director & Newslink Group Agency Manager to deliver sustainable revenue growth across your business unit.

  • Maximising revenue from your patch
  • Working within a small team, taking ownership of projects as they appear
  • Servicing your agency patch from the AV/ Broadcast Director to the planning exec.

What Success Looks Like

  •  Revenueand product targets. 
  • Specific client growth targets: acquisition, growth andretention. 
  • Scores in agency and specialist media owner surveys. 
  • Accurate forecast and pipeline management with consistent communication to trading teams. 
  • Play a key role in supporting and feeding onto your team’s OKR’s & development goals with key focus on integration & one Global culture. 

In your first few months:

  • Work with your Group Agency Manager (GAM) and Group Agency Director (CBD) to deliver key measures of success for the business units for the remainder of the financial year.
  • Develop a strong working relationship internally with other departments. 
  • Work with Agency contacts at all levels from Graduate to Board Director and similar with clients where required, keeping Newslink front of mind with them at all times. 
  • Play a proactive role in the transition and ensure a supportive and open culture. 
  • A commitment to sharing your unique knowledge & experience with your Business Unit as part of the wider training & development plan. 
  • Support the GAM and GAD in delivering new department processes (i.e. key internal meetings, management of revenue targets and development of an OKR led culture). 
  • Have an enthusiastic and can-do attitude in a recoveringeconomy and support the
  • commercial directors in key department initiatives to build a ‘One Global’ culture. 

 

What You’ll Need

  • Understand the key challenges and issues your customers face and ensure that your team are    helping to provide solutions to these challenges toensure Newslink and Global are perceived  as a key partners. 
  • Drive the client segmentation process for your agency group. 
  • Ensure you deliver exceptional customer service and ensure the smooth running of the day-to day business – this will include forecasting for your business on a three-monthly rolling basis and working closely with the key trading heads to ensure the delivery of weekly targets. 
  • Coordinate and lead on significant individual client pitches & inspiration sessions. 
  • Develop influential relationships across your agency customer group. 
  • To be a Newslink and Global ambassador and an architect in the shaping of the new Global commercial culture as a fully integrated team. 
  • Have a high level of attention to detail.
  • To very occasionally be able to work evening and weekend events. You will be given plenty of notice and would be involved in the planning and organising of these events
