Your new role

As an Agency Manager at Global, you will use your ability to build and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders across their agency patch. Raising Global’s profile across agencies through regular content and engagement, putting Global’s outdoor portfolio and capabilities at the forefront.

You will take ownership of your agency patch ensuring regular face to face time with not only key OOH stakeholders across agencies but also getting to know comms planners and being their go to person. This role will be heavily proactive and it is key to demonstrate a strong knowledge of the Outdoor industry to be able to successfully pitch to stakeholders and to spot opportunities for revenue growth.

You will align with Group Activation Manager and Activation Managers to ensure we are aligning on our sales strategy, and working through the line as efficiently as possible. Working with the Head of Agency you will implement an agency growth strategy ensuring to utilise the teams within Global but also another layer of contact for Global to get better understanding of briefs, build our agency profile, demonstrate expertise – ensuring we are getting our fair share.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the key challenges and issues your customers face and ensure that your team are helping to provide solutions to these challenges to ensure we are perceived as a key partner
  • Ensure you deliver exceptional customer service – being the face of Global for the agency, working to help and also work through issues where relevant
  • Understand and contribute to delivering weekly, monthly and quarterly sales targets across your sales team and floor.
  • Have an enthusiastic and can-do attitude in a difficult economy and support the commercial directors in key department initiatives to build a ‘One Global’ culture
  • Regular alignment with your Activation Manager to ensure you are knowledge sharing briefs, intel and knowledge – spotting leads, but also following up with the agency for missing info and feedback
  • Collaboration with the wider business where applicable to drive Global’s agenda within the agency
  • Own your patch – and know the business inside out

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

  • Demonstrated a strong understanding of all Global products and environments able to clearly articulate the sales benefits of each.
  • With support of your Head of Agency, successfully pitch new ideas and opportunities to agencies
  • Work with head of agency to build an agency strategy plan – putting it into practice to ensure revenue growth
  • Understand the wider Global and DAXO portfolio
  • Regular face to face time with your agency; Hot Desk, Status Meetings & Inspiration Sessions
  • Built strong relationships and rapport with your key contacts.
  • Undertaken the Global Outdoor new training programme
  • Collaborate with your OOH agencies to grow sales opportunities
  • Presented in front of your key customers and internal colleagues
  • Revenue and product mix targets
  • Proactive Pitch KPI’s
  • Specific client growth targets: acquisition, growth and retention
  • Scores in agency surveys

What You’ll Need

  • Demonstrate media sales experience as an experienced Account Manager within the Outdoor industry
  • An understanding of the UK media market place.
  • Proactive sales approach and able to deliver creative and innovative solutions.
  • Resilient and flexible individual
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of the key challenges we face commercially and how we may overcome these
  • Excellent time management and personal organisation
  • Clear communication to a wide variety of role types including to customers
  • Excellent teamwork
  • No formal qualifications required
  • Ability to use Keynote, PowerPoint, Excel,
  • Good understanding of the application of industry measurement tools – Route
  • Ability to pick up new systems and tools
