What you'll be doing

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Agency Business Director to join our Central Commercial Team and play a pivotal role in supporting and expanding our Agency relationships. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive significant growth by:

  • Leading agency trading deal relationships both internally and externally; You will be the primary point of contact for our agency partners,managing trading deals that benefit both parties. You will also work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and maximize the value of these relationships.
  • Managing centralised agency functions; You will run the day-to-day central agency functions ensuring we are front of mind, relevant and we are delivering innovative industry best practices.
  • Developing and implementing market-leading engagement agency plans; You will be responsible for creating and executing innovative agency engagement plans that differentiate us from our competitors and position us as the partner of choice for media and advertising agencies.
  • Generating Non-Endemic Revenues beyond our core markets; You will identify and pursue opportunities to generate revenue from non-traditional sources, expanding our reach and diversifying our income streams.

Reporting to The Head of Commercial, you will use your industry expertise and established network of agency and advertiser relationships to uncover new business opportunities and create tailored solutions that address client needs. You will drive agency trading deals, securing high-value partnerships, and expanding non-endemic revenue streams in sectors outside of Future’s traditional advertising categories. Leveraging the extensive Future network of 200+ leading brands, we can craft solutions that encompass Digital, Branded Content, Programmatic, Print, Events, and Social media.

  • Have a strong, established network of relationships within agencies, across all departments
  • Successful track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Proactive, adaptable, and highly self-motivated with a collaborative attitude
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a deep understanding of the media and advertising agency landscape
  • A personable attitude and the ability to develop strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to influence, think strategically, and solve problems to achieve results
  • You will have a deep understanding of the agency business model, a strong network of industry contacts, and a passion for driving sustainable revenue growth
  • Experience of the advertising and media landscape, especially within agency trading 
  • Have a deep understanding of the agency business model

This is a Hybrid role from our London Paddington Office, working three days from the office, two from home
