Job overview:

As the Affiliate Manager your primary responsibility will be to lead OnBuy’s affiliate marketing program. This role will be instrumental in growing our existing markets (UK) whilst entering new markets (EU and US). As a single threaded leader, this will be your program to develop and make your own.

Key Responsibilities: 

Affiliate Program Development:

  • Manage publisher networks to deliver predictable growth across all markets (whether mature or nascent setup).
  • Proactively manage an editorial content strategy to increase media coverage and drive sales.
  • Identify and recruit a diverse range of affiliate partners, including discount code, CSS partners and influencers.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive affiliate marketing strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Understand your levers to manage affiliate partnerships - ensuring optimal performance and ROI.
  • Track and analyse affiliate performance metrics, turning insight into actions to drive meaningful impact.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling affiliate marketing materials and promotional offers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging affiliate marketing technologies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers.

Market Expansion:

  • Lead the expansion of the affiliate program into new markets, identifying the most appropriate networks and onboarding new publishers.
  • Adapt the affiliate strategy to suit different market dynamics and consumer behaviours.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth market entry and localisation of marketing materials.
Requirements

Experience and Skills: 

  • Proven track record in affiliate marketing with an established network of affiliates in the UK and Europe, preferably in the e-commerce industry and from a network background.
  • Deep understanding of the UK retail market, with experience in European / US markets is an advantage.
  • Experience building and scaling affiliate programs from the ground up.
  • Strong understanding of attribution, reattribution, and incrementality of publishers
  • Strong understanding of different affiliate partner types and how to work with them, including discount codes, CSS and influencers.
  • Experience writing editorial content is a big advantage, with exposure to managing press relations desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills to measure and optimise campaign performance, linking your efforts to business impact. Ability to use Excel to review margins and cut data to find opportunities to improve efficiency
  • Highly organised, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with affiliate networks and tracking platforms.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. presents themselves in an engaging and profession manner when working with external parties.
Benefits

The salary on offer for this role is £45,000 to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
