The Role

Condé Nast is looking for an experienced Affiliate SEO Manager to own and support top funnel Affiliate traffic growth across Vogue, GLAMOUR, GQ, House & Garden and Condé Nast Traveller. 

With a focus on search, newsletters and social, this role will work closely with our Commerce Editors to inform content strategy, monitor traffic and influence affiliate revenue against targets. 

You’ll be a top-of-funnel audience acquisition expert, who understands the UK editorial landscape, as well as the role that different channels play in the research, consideration and purchase funnel. The role reports into the UK Commerce Director and will be working closely with Commerce Editorial, Social and CRM, Global SEO, Audience development, Consumer Revenue Marketing and Analytics. 

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of editorial SEO and audience development at a publisher, news site, agency or similar.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead and develop Affiliate top-of-funnel strategies across Search, Newsletters and Social.

  • Work with UK Commerce Editorial leads to create acquisition strategies for each title with the aim of reaching audiences with high-purchase intent and driving revenue.

  • Day-to-day execution of organic search engine optimisation including keyword research, content gap recommendations, strategic optimisation of existing content, competitor analysis, site improvements, and ad hoc SEO support.

  • Partner with Social Media, Marketing and Editorial teams to develop social and newsletter commerce strategies. Ensure these are implemented and monitor their impact on traffic and revenue.

  • Work alongside Global SEO teams to build UK top funnel strategy for major events (Black Friday, Prime Day) and tentpole topics and report on performance.

  • Perform regular content SEO audits and report on Commerce traffic weekly.

  • Monitor traffic following algorithm updates and act fast to recover after traffic drops.

  • Run reports, measure performance, and share analysis with stakeholders. Propose improvements/alternative approaches.

  • Regularly meet with brands to provide recaps, share new findings, and discuss strategic plans.

Who you are:

  • Proven track record in Audience Development and SEO, preferably for a major media/publishing organisation, or agency working on editorial content

  • Experience with main social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest) is desirable

  • Professional experience with publishing and analytics tools, such as Dash Hudson, Listen First, Sailthru, Apple News Publisher, Parse.ly, and Google Analytics or equivalents

  • Strong understanding of third-party enterprise SEO tools (e.g. Pi Datametrics, SEMRush)

  • Strong SEO copywriting skills

  • Adherence to the highest standards of SEO

  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills

  • A collaborative & proactive team player

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to multitask and deliver under tight deadlines
