Smadex is a leading advertising technology company founded in Barcelona in 2010 and sold to American-based and stock-listed Entravision in 2018 (NYSE::EVC). We power campaigns for Apps, Games and Brands across Mobile and CTV using advanced machine learning and optimized creative strategies to deliver results. Smadex is one of the fastest growing DSPs and we are adding talent to fuel our ambitious plans.

To help us maintain our strong position in the industry, we are looking for an Ad Operations Senior Manager to bring their expertise to our Ad Operations team.

This position is a hybrid role based in London, Barcelona or Berlin.

Your mission:

Partnering directly with the EMEA AdOps Associate Director, you will set the standard for operational excellence, proactivity, and accountability day-to-day. As the senior escalation point, you will own technical and operational risk mitigation, trouble-shooting, and budget protection—grounding every decision in data and statistical rigor. Smadex is growing, and we are looking for someone who has experienced contributing in a scaling team before, to challenge the status quo and help us reach the next level.

Your tasks and responsibilities:
  • Knowledge sharing with the team: Mentor, train, and run hands-on sessions for campaign managers and analysts; foster a strong two-way feedback culture and apply proven scaling practices to evolve our processes.
  • Troubleshooting: Serve as the senior point of contact for complex troubleshooting, in close coordination with the team and cross-functional teams.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Rely on statistical reasoning and incrementality thinking to drive operational calls rather than gut instinct.
  • Executive Communication: Translate complex operational problems into clear, actionable reporting for Account Management and other teams without the need for endless follow-up meetings.
  • Cross-Departmental Alignment: Represent Ad Operations across departments, resolving operational friction with a proactive fix-it mindset.
Skills and requirements:
  • 5+ years in ad tech / ad operations, with direct ownership of troubleshooting and campaign strategy for a client portfolio.
  • Proven experience scaling a function through growth at a previous company, bringing fresh perspectives on how to optimize processes.
  • Hands-on experience with programmatic DSPs.
  • A strong data-driven approach leveraging statistical reasoning. Excel expertise.
  • Excellent business-level English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proven track record of formally mentoring and training junior campaign managers or analysts.
  • Familiarity with EMEA markets and cross-office stakeholder coordination.
What’s in it for you?
  • Competitive remuneration package
  • Be part of a leading, fast-growing, innovative company shaping the future of mobile advertising.
  • Integrate a highly motivated and collaborative team, partnering directly with the EMEA AdOps Associate Director.
  • Hybrid work model (work from our co-working space and from home).
  • Barcelona HQ Visits: Travel opportunities for remote/international employees to collaborate in person, connect with leadership, and join team-building events.
  • Exposure to leading global app publishers and media partners in the digital advertising industry.
  • Linkedin Learning.

Please note: Candidates must have current legal right to work in the UK/EU (based on chosen location). We do not provide visa sponsorship; candidates without a valid permit won't be considered.
