The Role

The Ad Operations Executive is responsible for the end-to-end management and optimisation of digital advertising campaigns across platforms. This includes campaign setup, technical troubleshooting, performance analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure flawless ad delivery. The role plays a critical part in achieving client goals, ensuring compliance with platform standards, and supporting continuous performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Campaign Management: Set up, manage, and optimise ad campaigns using Google Ad Manager (GAM) across display, video, and mobile formats. Ensure accurate delivery, pacing, and targeting. 
  • Troubleshooting & Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues with ad tags, creatives, and tracking. Use HTML, JavaScript, and other basic coding skills for implementation and fixes. 
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor campaign KPIs, interpret data, and provide actionable insights to improve performance and efficiency. 
  • Collaboration: Partner with account managers, creative teams, developers, and third-party vendors to ensure campaign alignment with client goals and platform specifications.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Create detailed performance reports, document campaign setup processes, and maintain records of optimizations and campaign outcomes. 
  • Compliance & QA: Ensure campaigns meet ad policy standards, comply with brand guidelines, and go through rigorous QA before launch. 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Proficiency with Google Ad Manager (GAM) and other major ad platforms. 
  • Hands-on experience with HTML, JavaScript, and basic coding for ad setup and troubleshooting. 
  • Strong understanding of ad serving technologies, including real-time bidding (RTB), programmatic advertising, and ad verification tools. 
  • Familiarity with third-party ad tags, tracking pixels, and campaign measurement tools. 
  • Skilled in data interpretation and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Google Data Studio, or similar platforms). 
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. 
  • Time management and multitasking skills to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously. 
  • Strong communication skills, able to translate technical details into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders. 
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams under tight deadlines. 
  • Adaptable and resilient in a fast-changing ad tech landscape.
