This role provides essential support to our Finance Department. You will be responsible for key accounting functions including bank reconciliations, cash flow analysis, cash posting, and credit control. The position demands meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
This is an excellent role for a motivated individual looking to develop their accounting skills and gain experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with processing invoices, payments, and expenses.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Help to cover accounts payable during busy times or staff absence
- Respond to and resolve queries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and procedures.

Role Requirements
Essential:
- At least 1 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role including experience of bank or balance sheet reconciliations
- Good all round IT skills
- Good understanding of fundamental accounting principles
- Analytical and logical
- Enjoys working with financial data
- Possess excellent interpersonal, written and oral skills
- Ability to work within a team environment with good communication skills
- Able to multitask, prioritise and work within tight time scales
- Experience working with accounting software or ERP systems
Desirable:
- Experience of using the Certinia finance system
- Experience of using Salesforce
- Experience of using the Google Workplace
This is a part-time fixed-term position spanning 5 days. We’d love to chat about the hours that work best for you during the application process. Ideally, we’re looking for availability from 9am to 3pm, five days a week, but we’re open to discussing this further during the interview.
Given the nature of the work, it's important for the applicant to have a secure workspace with an appropriate desk setup.
