Job Description:

Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity for a Accounting Specialist to join a experienced team on a 12 month Fixed Term contract this role will be all round support within the finance team. This will be a remote position travelling to Birmingham supporting the Finance Manager in account payable- function.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accounts payable function with business partnering requests.

• Support on statutory accounts preparation and delivery.

• Guidance in general accounting and management accounting tasks; cashflow, account reconciliations including payroll and key balance sheet accounts ie. accruals, CIP, Fixed Assets, prepayments, general support to corporate operation teams across UK and IE.

• Delivery of Purchase Order and PR raising, goods receipting and validation.

• Creation of bank payments and general adhoc duties as instructed the CSS FO manager and corporate financial controller.

Background:

• Finance qualification AAT/ACCA/CIMA or QBE

• Experience within a fast-paced finance team

• Demonstrable experience of Accounts Payable

• Excellent IT skills including Excel, experience with S4 Hana

• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with individuals at varying levels

• Ability to work well within challenging environments
