FINN Partners is looking for a new Account Supervisor (Account Manager equivalent) to manage the day-to-day communications and PR activities of a variety of Irish and international clients.
With us, you'll be managing a portfolio of clients in technology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and public affairs, helping clients achieve their communications objectives and ensuring client satisfaction. You’ll also be pitching for new business and managing and overseeing the work and professional development of Account Executives.
The role
The successful candidate will be:
- Creating, managing, and executing strategic communications campaigns that demonstrably achieve your clients’ communications and business objectives.
- Overseeing and managing the day-to-day needs of your clients, including cultivating relationships with client leadership, to ensure consistent high-quality output delivered against agreed campaign plans.
- Proactively building connections with and responding to enquiries from national, local, and trade media, as well as other relevant stakeholders, such as political and industry representatives.
- Writing, editing, and reviewing a wide variety of traditional and digital content for your clients, including press releases, op-eds, presentations, stakeholder letters, briefing documents, speeches, and other materials.
- Overseeing, mentoring, and professionally developing the Account Executives working under your supervision.
- Actively seeking out new business opportunities, nurturing client leads, and pitching for new business.
- Working with FINN Partners colleagues around the world by sharing Ireland-specific expertise and participating in international business development.
- Contributing to 360’s thought leadership position in Ireland by writing blogs and generating new ideas for research, events, and webinars.
What we’re looking for:
- You have a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role at a public relations, public affairs, or other communications agency, or alternatively in-house.
- You possess strong writing and editorial skills, especially in key messaging, persuasive language, and narrative building.
- You have a keen understanding of what it takes to deliver effective communications, including insight gathering and research, strategic development, project management, relationship management, and operational execution.
- You have an innate interest in Irish and international media, communications, and content—you read the news every day, understand what content works and what doesn’t, and know how to engage diverse audiences.
- You follow modern and emerging media trends, consumer behaviours, current affairs, and technology, and know how and why they can impact the work we do.
- You have strong interpersonal and managerial acumen, including an ability to motivate and mentor junior staff.
- You know how to creatively, confidently, and convincingly pitch new ideas and campaigns to existing and prospective clients.
- You have an awareness and appreciation of the value of measurement in communications and know how to prove that a piece of work is achieving its objectives.
- You can effectively drive the delivery of agreed activity, prioritise tasks under pressure, manage competing workloads, and schedule future work, including the work of your team.
