Your role and responsibilities
Are you ready to lead the charge in transforming the industry through cutting-edge robotics? ABB Robotics UK Ltd is seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial salesperson to spearhead our business development efforts in automated robotic systems, predominantly within welding and Machine Tool Tending (MTT). This national role is central to our UK & Ireland sales strategy and offers you the chance to make a significant impact in a rapidly growing market.

The work model for the role is remote (#LI-remote)

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Lead business development for automated robotic systems nationally, focusing on both existing and new customers

  • Develop and implement sales strategies and budgets, ensuring regular engagement with key accounts and prospects

  • Identify and nurture relationships with system integrators and OEMs, expanding ABB’s reach and credibility across key End User within General Industry sectors

  • Negotiate specifications and pricing to maximise value for ABB while meeting customer needs

  • Monitor client financial status and manage risks related to contracts and pricing

  • Champion ABB’s Quality Customer Experience (QCE) programme, building lasting partnerships and delivering exceptional service

  • Propose and support innovative marketing campaigns, and represent ABB Robotics at industry events and open houses

Qualifications for the Role

  • Proven sales or technical engineering experience (5+ years), ideally within robotics or industrial automation

  • Experience in business development, sales strategy or related commercial roles

  • Knowledge of complex system sales to End Users with an understanding of processes

  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills

  • Mindset to innovate, take ownership and drive continuous improvement

  • Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
