Job Description

Checkout.com is looking for a Strategic Account Manager to nurture and expand long-term relationships with our most critical clients. This is an opportunity to join a top-tier FinTech company at a pivotal moment in our global expansion.

You will act as the primary business advisor to our merchants post-integration. You will be the voice of our product and an ambassador of our brand, using your business acumen to influence stakeholders at all levels—from operational teams to the C-Suite.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Strategic Account Management: Serve as the primary partner to key merchants, understanding their roadmap and proactively identifying opportunities for expansion and revenue growth.

  • Internal Collaboration: Lead operational processes (e.g., Deal Desk, contract amendments) and coordinate with Sales, Legal, and Data Science to ensure a first-class merchant experience.

  • Product Evolution: Act as the bridge between clients and our internal Product teams. You will gather feedback and insights to directly influence our product roadmap.

  • Market Intelligence: Monitor payments trends and regulatory changes, sharing insights that help your clients navigate the evolving landscape.

  • Executive Presence: Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and strategic planning sessions for Tier 1 Accounts.

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years’ experience in a customer-oriented role, preferably in a B2B setting with exposure to the FinTech and/or Payments industry

  • Proven track record of managing strategic relationships with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, including C-Suite

  • Strong commercial acumen and strategic problem solving skills. Ability to manage and deliver on ambitious targets and KPIs

  • Adaptable self-starter with desire to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, collaborating across multiple departments and capable of managing multiple concurrent opportunities.

  • Good knowledge of today’s major e-commerce and payments technologies, players and major future trends

  • Exceptional communication and project management skills, comfortable with large data sets.

Bring all of you to work

We create the conditions for high performers to thrive – through real ownership, fewer blockers, and work that makes a difference from day one.

Here, you’ll move fast, take on meaningful challenges, and be recognized for the impact you deliver. It’s a place where ambition gets met with opportunity – and where your growth is in your hands.

We work as one team, and we back each other to succeed. So whatever your background or identity, if you’re ready to grow and make a difference, you’ll be right at home here.

It’s important we set you up for success and make our process as accessible as possible. So let us know in your application, or tell your recruiter directly, if you need anything to make your experience or working environment more comfortable.
