ACCOUNT MANAGER - STR - LONDON, UK

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a successful Account Manager at STR reporting to a Regional Director, your role will be to nurture and grow your existing client base and source new business in your designated region.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Become an expert in CoStar and Benchmark’s critical information solutions

  • Gain a thorough understanding of your clients and their needs

  • Complete ownership of the full sales cycle including prospecting, demoing, closing and renewing

  • Retain and grow revenues in your assigned territory by nurturing client relationships, identifying new stakeholders and interested parties to promote new opportunities for Benchmark sales

  • Build and maintain strong, consultative, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at the C-level and other senior executive levels. 

  • Conduct a high level of in person client and prospect product demonstrations

  • Represent STR and CoStar by hosting and attending industry events and networking with hospitality professionals in your market

Additional  

  • Collaborate with CoStar and STR sales representatives to ensure effective execution of account strategies. 

  • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through timely and effective issue resolution, proactive communication, and regular feedback.

  • Provide valuable insight to all participants in the hospitality industry, including owners, operators and brands.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven track record of sales success - Our most successful people generally have experience hunting and retaining business in the travel and hospitality space. We will consider other sales backgrounds.

  • Demonstrate that you have maintained and grown clients over the medium and long-term, providing excellent service and comfort with sales cycles which can run 1-12 months+.

  • Outstanding communication, presentation and objection handling skills with the confidence and patience to make complex proposals.

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to metrics in an intelligent, effective manner.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.

  • A consultative selling style with account management techniques to grow accounts over time. You love building relationships with clients and helping them problem-solve.

  • Ability to navigate a large organisation – who is the decision-maker, the influencers, the blockers etc? How do I align them?

Additional

  • Ability to travel across Europe

  • Fluency in any European language (desirable)

  • Previous work experience within/knowledge of the hotel and travel Industries (desirable)
