We’re looking for a results-driven Account Manager to join our Major Projects team, focused on securing fire detection and electronic security installation projects with M&E Contractors.

What You’ll Do

As an Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving sales across a defined territory by developing strong relationships with M&E contractors. You’ll lead the full sales cycle—from identifying opportunities and conducting building surveys to collaborating on system design and closing deals.

How You’ll Do It

  • Manage and grow contractor accounts within your region

  • Identify and qualify project opportunities, presenting technical solutions to senior stakeholders

  • Drive sales performance and manage leads using Salesforce

  • Collaborate with technical teams on complex proposals

  • Focus on pipeline growth, conversion improvement, and achieving defined sales targets

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in account management, specification sales, project sales, or estimating within the M&E contractor network

  • Strong understanding of the contractor bid process

  • Background in B2B technical solution sales

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

  • Full UK driving licence

Preferred:

  • Experience with fire and security systems and relevant standards

  • Understanding of the construction sector and contracting route to market

  • Ability to survey buildings and design fire/security systems

  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com or similar CRM platforms

What We Offer

At Johnson Controls, we invest in our people. You’ll benefit from:

  • Competitive salary, company car, and commission

  • Accelerated commission scheme for overachievement

  • Paid holidays and sick leave

  • Comprehensive benefits, including:

    • Pension and life assurance

    • Employee Assistance Programme

    • Referral bonuses

    • Discounts on high street brands and Johnson Controls products

    • Cycle-to-work scheme

  • Extensive training and development opportunities

  • Collaborative, high-performing team culture
