Job Title:Account Manager Hardcoat Europe (m/f/d)

Summary:In the role as Account Manager you will implement and drive the identified strategy in ther region to optimize the company's profitability. Within this position, the Account Manager may be located in a home office (option), while maintaining close contact with colleagues from Product Management, Marketing, Technology, and Technical Support.
The Account Manager Hardcoats is expected to have in-depth knowledge in the commercialization and processing of Hardcoats (thermal, UV).
The position contains a pan European responsibility, with a strong focus on the countries France / Spain / Italy and some eastern European countries. Based on the extensive network in the market, the Account Manager will be able to maintain and develop the current customer database, while driving the introduction of new materials in the region and running key projects at the (potential) customers.
Being a team player is essential in order to integrate into the Business Unit and to show a high performance versus the set objectives.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Maintaining and further development of the current customer database in the region

  • Development of new customers and applications in the respective area

  • Build and maintain a strong network in the market between raw-material suppliers, line-suppliers, customers and  OEMs.

  • Lead commercial discussions with the direct accounts in the region

  • Pan European responsibility for specific accounts can become part of the responsibilities

  • Delivering sales, volume and margin numbers on the targets sets by the company

  • Define, develop and implement account and market strategies in line with the company’s best interest

  • Periodic and detailed reporting on market and customer trends and requirements

  • Provide technical and processing support to customers

  • Accurate forecasting of customer demand

  • Drive new projects along with the Marketing Team in order to create new opportunities for the company

  • Close co-operation with Product Management to optimize the value proposition to our customers

  • Support the accounts receivable department on payment behavior and financial risk management

  • Provide market intelligence to internal departments and participate in cross-functional meetings

  • Significant amount of traveling to assure the face-time with customers

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

  • Bachelor, Master/ Diploma or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Engineering, or Commercial studies

  • Min. 3 to 6 years of working experience in coatings, like a technical or  commercial role, would be preferred

  • Good technical and chemical knowledge

  • Confirmed specialist in the Coatings industry

  • Extensive product and application knowledge in HDC processes

  • Independent and high level of self-motivation

  • Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and result-oriented

  • Outstanding commercial skills

  • Very customer and service-oriented; understands customer requirements and needs immediately

  • Experience in customer-supplier interaction

  • Creative and ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking is key

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Requirement of a fully valid driving license

  • Willingness to intense business travel

The following are preferred for the role

  • Project management skills

  • Additional languages like (German, French, Italian, Spanish)
