Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve the monthly sales budget for the South Wales area.
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with new and existing customers through proactive face-to-face sales.
  • Prepare and execute geographical business development plans aligned with product strengths and targeted industries.
  • Create individual customer development plans for priority accounts with clear objectives and follow-up actions.
  • Analyse accounts and managed products using CRM, CGE, and Pivot reports to maximise profitability.
  • Respond to incoming sales leads on the same day.
  • Ensure accurate documentation for contracts and call-offs.
  • Drive managed product campaigns in collaboration with the Product Management team in Leeds.
  • Implement product price changes across the customer base.
  • Utilise area management tools effectively (e.g., daily orders, quotes, margin analysis).
  • Maintain accurate and detailed CRM records following customer visits.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments to ensure efficient time management and sales growth.
  • Log and escalate customer complaints promptly via the Quality System.
  • Carry out any reasonable ad-hoc requests from management.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Degree-level education or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a commercial environment with strong analytical and sales skills.
  • Proficiency in modern ERP and CRM systems, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
