At Stryker, we’re building a team united by purpose, ambition and a commitment to each other’s success. We want people who bring energy, take ownership and work together to deliver outstanding results for our customers.

We are looking for an exceptional Account Executive to develop our national theatre infrastructure business. This is an opportunity to shape how Stryker engages with the organisations designing, building and equipping the next generation of operating theatres.

You will build relationships early in the planning process, securing specification of Stryker’s surgical lighting and integrated theatres and creating opportunities for growth across our wider surgical portfolio.

What You’ll Do

Build Relationships That Open New Opportunities

  • Develop strategic relationships with healthcare architects, planners, modular theatre companies, construction partners and NHS trusts.
  • Engage estates, capital development and project teams before equipment specifications and purchasing decisions are finalised.
  • Use your industry network and market knowledge to identify new hospital developments, theatre refurbishments and elective surgical centre projects.
  • Build partnerships that generate opportunities across multiple projects and locations.

Influence Theatre Design and Specification

  • Position Stryker early in the design process, ensuring our offering is understood and considered by the people shaping each project.
  • Identify opportunities to incorporate theatre integration, working with technical specialists to develop solutions around customer requirements.
  • Connect clinical, technical and commercial stakeholders to establish a clear understanding of project scope, decision making and purchasing routes.
  • Maintain engagement as projects move from initial concept through specification, tender and contract award.

Drive Outstanding Commercial Performance

  • Build and manage a national pipeline, with clear account plans, project milestones and accurate forecasts.
  • Convert relationships and specification opportunities into profitable commercial outcomes.
  • Lead relevant proposals and negotiations, working closely with Contracts & Pricing, technical teams and divisional colleagues.
  • Balance long term project development with opportunities that deliver nearer term growth.

Collaborate to Deliver Wider Growth

  • Work alongside two Territory Sales Managers focused on integration and pull through.
  • Establish clear opportunity ownership, coordinated customer engagement and effective handovers.
  • Connect relevant colleagues across Stryker to develop equipment, consumables and service opportunities around each theatre project.
  • Help customers access the right expertise throughout the commercial and delivery process.

Champion a Culture of Ownership and Teamwork

  • Bring energy, accountability and resilience to a strategically important area of the business.
  • Share market insight and opportunities openly, contributing to the success of the wider team.
  • Build trust through clear communication, reliable follow-through and a focus on customer needs.
  • Influence effectively across teams and functions.

What You Need

  • Proven commercial success in theatre infrastructure, surgical lighting, integrated theatres or a closely related healthcare market.
  • An established network among architects, healthcare planners, modular theatre providers, contractors or trust capital and estates teams.
  • A track record of influencing specifications and converting complex projects into sales.
  • Strong understanding of how theatre projects are planned, specified, funded and purchased.
  • Commercial judgement and confidence managing negotiations and extended sales cycles.
  • The ability to work effectively with technical specialists and senior customer stakeholders.
  • A collaborative approach, personal accountability and the drive to build new routes to market.

Why Join Stryker?

  • The opportunity to shape a national role and make a direct contribution to our theatre infrastructure strategy.
  • A broad surgical portfolio that creates opportunities to build lasting customer partnerships.
  • Direct access to business leadership and close collaboration with specialist commercial and technical colleagues.
  • A team that values ambition, resourcefulness, shared success and delivering on its commitments.
