Public Sector is one of the fastest-growing units globally, with the UK poised to enhance its strategic relationships across all major verticals. We are seeking a seasoned Slack Account Executive to lead our strategy and sales into the Health, Transport, and Local Government sectors.
Role Overview:
As a Slack Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving the growth of Slack within the Public Sector, focusing on Health, Transport, and Local Government. You will leverage your expertise in Slack and Microsoft Teams competes to develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy. While Public Sector knowledge or experience is not essential, a strong understanding of Slack and competitive positioning against Microsoft Teams is crucial.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand Slack's presence in the Health, Transport, and Local Government sectors.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within target accounts.

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through both warm leads and proactive prospecting.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales Engineers, Professional Services, and Partners, to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs.

  • Present Slack's value proposition effectively to different audiences, including C-suite executives and technical stakeholders.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to provide strategic insights and recommendations.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven track record of success in a quota-carrying, technology solution-based direct sales role.

  • Strong experience with Slack and competitive positioning against Microsoft Teams.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers at all levels.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute account plans, uncover customer needs, and deliver compelling value propositions.

  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Public Sector is a plus but not required.

  • Sales methodology education and training.

  • Ability to develop business cases and service requirements, while crafting and leading strategic alliances.

  • Track record of consistently achieving or surpassing sales targets.

  • Ability to work with multiple internal teams, govern, inspire, and leverage resources to align with account objectives.
