About this role

Role Overview

As a Middle‑Market Account Executive at Preqin, you will own the full sales cycle and drive new subscription agreements across a defined East Coast territory. You will identify, develop, and close new business while building a strong pipeline. The role requires solid commercial judgment, understanding of financial markets and private capital trends, and the ability to distill complex data and workflows for investors, fund managers, and service providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full sales cycle: targeted outreach, discovery, product positioning, demos, proposals, negotiation, and close
  • Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities—net‑new prospects and whitespace within existing accounts
  • Deliver clear, value‑focused demonstrations of Preqin’s private capital solutions and data offerings tailored to middle‑market clients
  • Execute territory plans through localized events, coordinated go‑to‑market activity, and lead‑generation efforts
  • Produce accurate proposals, maintain clean CRM documentation, and communicate deal progress with precision

Skills & Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of quota‑carrying sales experience with closing responsibility (SaaS, financial services, or market data preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to run a structured sales process and meet or exceed targets
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, private capital workflows, and industry trends
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills with confidence engaging clients and internal stakeholders
  • Data‑driven, detail‑oriented approach to evaluating opportunities, managing pipeline, and preparing materials
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$115,000.00 - USD$147,500.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
