About Unikraft

Cloud infrastructure was built for long-running servers. Today's workloads look nothing like that. AI agents, serverless functions and browser sessions spin up by the millions, live for seconds, and each one needs to be securely isolated. Traditional VMs are too slow and heavy for this, and containers don't isolate well enough.

Unikraft takes a fundamentally different approach. Instead of running a full general-purpose operating system for every workload, we build each one into a minimal, purpose-built microVM that carries only what it needs. The result boots in milliseconds, packs up to an order of magnitude more workloads onto the same hardware, and keeps the hard security boundary of a VM. It's the product of years of open-source systems research.

Companies like Netlify run on us in production. We're a small, fast-paced team growing quickly and ahead of plan, and we expect to scale the business and the team significantly over the next 3 to 6 months.

The role

We're hiring our second Account Executive, based in Europe. You'll own our European accounts end to end and support US deals during the overlap hours. One of our founders will work closely with you, coaching you on the product and acting as your technical lead on calls. Our founding AE, who has shaped and refined our sales motion, will also coach you, support you on deals and help you ramp quickly.

This is a full-cycle role in a compact team: you find the opportunities, run discovery, coordinate pilots, negotiate commercials and close.

Why join now
  • You'll be one of our early AEs, with a direct line to the founders and real influence on how the sales team grows after the Series A.

  • You're selling something proven. The product runs in production for customers like Netlify, we've closed multiple enterprise customers, and more are in pilot as the pipeline keeps growing.

  • The market is moving fast. AI agents, sandboxes and serverless are pushing every platform team to rethink how they isolate and pack workloads.

  • Competitive base and uncapped commission, plus meaningful equity.

What you'll do
  • Build and own a European pipeline across enterprise infrastructure teams, cloud and hosting providers, and fast-growing AI and developer platforms.

  • Direct outbound with our GTM engineers: decide which accounts and people to go after, bring creative ideas for campaigns and messaging, and coach the team on what works.

  • Travel to conferences and industry events (KubeCon, cloud-native and AI infra events, regional meetups) and turn hallway conversations into pipeline.

  • Lead deals from first call to signature: discovery, demos and technical deep dives with our founder, pilots, and usage-based commercials such as minimum commits and dedicated or bring-your-own-cloud deployments.

  • Get to economic buyers early and qualify rigorously using MEDDPICC, so pilots convert into production commitments.

  • Partner with our field engineers on pilots and live accounts to spot expansion opportunities early and turn them into larger commitments.

  • Shape how we sell: refine the playbook, work with our GTM engineers to automate where time gets lost, keep HubSpot and the forecast honest, and feed what you hear in the market back to product.

What we're looking for
  • Above all, a fast learner with a high level of agency. You pick up new technology quickly, keep raising your own bar, and take ownership of problems without waiting to be asked.

  • 4+ years in closing roles selling technical products to engineering buyers, ideally in infrastructure, cloud, DevOps or developer tooling.

  • You've built pipeline from zero and know what good outbound looks like well enough to direct and coach others on it.

  • Comfort walking up to strangers at a conference and starting a useful conversation.

  • Experience running complex, multi-stakeholder deals with long technical evaluations: CTOs, platform leads, security, procurement and legal.

  • Enough technical depth to hold your own on virtualization, containers, Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure, and the curiosity to go deeper. You don't need to be an engineer, but engineers should enjoy talking to you.

  • Experience with usage-based or commit-based pricing and turning pilots or POCs into signed contracts.

  • Excellent spoken and written English. Additional languages are an advantage.

  • Always looking for ways to improve how things work.

  • Analytical about your pipeline and your deals, and just as good at putting customers and prospects at ease.

Nice to have
  • A big plus: you already use AI in interesting ways to research accounts, build pipeline and move deals forward. We run on HubSpot, so experience there helps too.

  • A degree in computer science, engineering or another technical field.

  • You've sold compute, serverless, sandboxes, databases or Kubernetes tooling, and know buyers who run them.

  • Familiarity with the space we compete in: Modal, E2B, Daytona, Fly.io, Northflank, Vercel, Firecracker-based platforms.

  • An existing network among European platform engineering teams, cloud providers or SIs.

  • Experience selling through or alongside partners (cloud providers, resellers, system integrators).

  • You've been an early sales hire at a startup before and enjoy the pace and ownership that come with that stage.

Logistics
  • Location: Europe, remote, with regular travel to customers and events across Europe, and occasionally the US.

  • Hours: most of our customers are in the US today, with a growing base in Europe, so a significant share of your calls will be in the European evening, regularly and not just occasionally.

  • Start: as soon as possible.

  • To apply, send your CV and a few lines on the most complex technical deal you've closed and how you sourced it.
