ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Account Director or Senior Account Director with strong digital acumen to join our client service team working with a defined cluster of Global and EU clients. You will take responsibility for the growth of a portfolio of accounts, taking ownership of the Emotive relationship with key clients and senior level stakeholders. In our agile and autonomous structure, you will lead and manage a team of talented Client Services colleagues who are all driven to transform lives by inspiring change that has a positive impact on people’s health. You will have oversight to manage the planning and delivery of account activities and programmes to the client’s satisfaction, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. Alongside our senior Medical and Brand strategists, you can also play an active role in business development with both new and existing clients, including leading pitches. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strong financial planning:

  • Demonstrate strong financial acumen across accounts and ladder this down throughout your CS team
  • Deliver forecasting for your portfolio to leadership with accuracy and foresight, maximising opportunities and minimising risks
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the overarching business targets and goals for Emotive delivering on key financial KPIs

Exemplary client relationship management:

  • Maintain a trusted core relationship with lead clients and have complete control of the accounts you oversee, being able to anticipate their needs
  • Have in-depth knowledge of client plans and strategic imperatives for the upcoming year and provide high-level support /planning to help them reach their goals

Planning and strategy:

  • Own and maintain client expansion plans for your portfolio, presenting these to leadership with clear strategy and future timelines
  • Support the team to proactively and explore opportunities for business development and growth for Emotive
  • Proactively lead the delivery of proposals and pitches as required 

Project management:

  • Expect to take on and manage any project to the gold standard, re-routing where required to ensure timely delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality outcomes
    • Show proficiency in driving digital projects and Veeva systems (Veeva CLM, Veeva email, Website development).

Therapeutic area expertise:

  • Have extensive current knowledge of relevant therapeutic areas and products by staying up to date with emerging literature, industry news, and press releases.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proven experience as an Account Director within a medical communications agency. 
  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, communications, marketing, or a related field. 
  • Exemplary understanding of medical communications, healthcare regulations, and industry guidelines. 
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple accounts simultaneously. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders. 
  • Strategic mindset, capable of providing innovative solutions and strategic guidance to clients. 
  • Ability to travel for client meetings, conferences, and industry events, with appropriate visa certifications
