Location: Hybrid - London (mix of office and client travel is expected)

We are seeking an Account Director with a proven track record of selling enterprise public cloud professional and managed services. The ideal candidate will be experienced in solution selling across complex sales cycles, shaping large-scale services engagements that accelerate cloud adoption and digital transformation. Backgrounds from boutique cloud providers or specialist cloud services units within VARs, Systems Integrators, or Consultancies are especially relevant.

This role is focused on driving growth across strategic enterprise accounts while displaying a hunter–farmer mentality—expanding existing relationships and winning net-new engagements. You will be comfortable selling multi-tower solutions across Azure, AWS, or GCP, particularly in areas such as cloud-native architectures, DevOps, data & AI, FinOps, and security.

As the primary point of contact for your customers, you will develop a deep understanding of their business and technology landscape and identify, shape, and close opportunities across professional services, consulting, and managed services, working with pre-sales and delivery teams.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Drive revenue growth across enterprise and strategic accounts
  • Hunt for new business while expanding existing customer relationships
  • Close large-scale services engagements (£500K–£10M+) across consulting, projects, managed services, and outsourcing
  • Lead prospecting and pipeline development
  • Own deal shaping, bid management, financial modelling, and contract negotiations
  • Work with major cloud providers and partners (Azure/AWS/GCP ecosystem)
  • Maintain awareness of emerging public cloud technologies and market trends

Account & Relationship Management

  • Engage at C-suite and senior stakeholder level
  • Build and manage complex multi-stakeholder relationships
  • Create and execute account development plans
  • Protect and grow account revenue while mitigating competitive threats
  • Lead new business pitches and onboarding of new clients
  • Act as the key interface between customers and internal technical and delivery teams

Qualifications

  • Proven success selling enterprise IT professional and/or managed services, ideally focused on public cloud
  • Experience in consultative, solution-based selling within complex sales cycles
  • Background from a cloud specialist provider, VAR, SI, or consultancy preferred

  • Experience managing major enterprise accounts
  • Strong commercial acumen and contract negotiation experience
  • Customer-centric mindset with a focus on long-term relationships
