 The Role

The Account Development Representative (ADR) plays a crucial role within our UK Client Relationship Management (CRM) team, which manages a £22 million bank of business spanning all sectors. Based in London, this team comprises 13 Client Relationship Managers.

The ADR will support account mapping, engagement, renewals, and business growth, as well as sales and testing of new products across FT Professional. FT Professional licenses FT content to organisations worldwide, targeting sectors such as corporate, finance, government, education, and more.

This position is ideal for someone proactive, organised, and motivated to uncover commercial opportunities and contribute to strategic account growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct account mapping to identify and engage with new stakeholders and budget holders.
  • Support the CRM team by setting up meetings and reinforcing the value of FT services for renewals, licence expansions, and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Become a subject matter expert on FT.com and its new products/features.
  • Confidently present FT’s value proposition to stakeholders.
  • Identify new targets for product launches and qualify inbound leads for handover to CRM.
  • Participate in working groups to refine new products or features and identify target customers.
  • Monitor relevant FT events to support strategic accounts.
  • Provide CRM support during client meetings and assist with B2B initiatives.
  • Deliver regular reporting on successful calls, challenges, and monthly updates to the department.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Exceptional communication and tact, especially on the phone.
  • Strong questioning skills to uncover sales opportunities.
  • Proactive attitude with a desire to learn FT products and articulate their value proposition.
  • Proficient in internet research.
  • Skilled at building relationships internally and externally.
  • Highly motivated with a strong drive to succeed.
  • Organised, with the ability to manage a fast-paced workload.
  • Keen attention to detail and initiative in all tasks.
  • A collaborative mindset with a readiness to work as part of a team.
