Not every customer who signs up to Incard immediately unlocks its full potential. As an Account Activation Specialist, your job is to change that. You'll be the bridge between sign-up and daily usage — reaching out to existing customers who are inactive or underusing the platform and guiding them to get started properly.
This is a phone-first, high-volume role. Every day you'll be calling existing Incard customers, understanding what's holding them back, walking them through the value of the platform, and getting them transacting. Once a customer is fully activated and engaged, you'll hand them over to the Account Management team for ongoing support and growth.
You're the kind of person who can turn a stalled account into an active one with a single conversation.
Ideally, you have the following:
Experience in a customer-facing sales, activation, or engagement role, ideally within fintech, SaaS, or payments
Strong phone skills with the confidence to make high volumes of outbound calls daily
The ability to quickly understand a customer's situation and tailor your approach to get them onboarded and transacting
Comfortable using AI tools to prioritise outreach, personalise messaging, and improve activation rates
A genuine interest in helping customers succeed — you're part sales, part customer success
Excellent communication skills and a natural ability to simplify complex product features
Additionally, any of the following will help you stand out:
Previous experience in account activation, customer reactivation, or onboarding within a fintech or banking product
Familiarity with CRM tools like HubSpot or Salesforce to manage and track customer engagement
Experience using data and segmentation to prioritise outreach to the highest-value dormant accounts
Hands-on experience leveraging AI and automation to scale outreach and personalise re-engagement campaigns
An understanding of the entrepreneur and SMB market in the UK or Europe
Proactively reach out to inactive and underactive Incard customers via phone, email, and other channels to drive platform activation
Conduct a high volume of daily outbound calls to re-engage dormant accounts and guide customers through getting started
Diagnose why customers haven't activated — whether it's onboarding friction, lack of understanding, or competing priorities — and address it directly
Demonstrate the value of Incard's financial operating system by walking customers through key features relevant to their business
Use AI-powered tools to identify high-potential inactive accounts, personalise outreach, and optimise your workflow
Track and report on activation metrics, pipeline health, and customer feedback in the CRM
Hand over fully activated customers to the Account Management team for ongoing relationship management and upsell
Collaborate with Product and Marketing to share insights on why customers drop off and how to improve the activation journey
