Your future role at QRT:
The Operations team play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, control, and integrity of trading activity within the firm. The team sits between the front office and back office, providing independent oversight of trading activity, validating risk and P&L, and ensuring that trading outputs are correctly reflected across internal systems and external counterparties.
This role sits within the Operations Change and Strategy team, who are responsible for change initiatives and new product activity, supports system and process improvements.
In this role, you will work closely with experienced members of the Operations and IT teams, providing support across a range of initiatives. Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting ongoing operational projects and process improvement initiatives through administrative and analytical tasks
- Assisting with gathering information, documenting processes, and maintaining project trackers and logs
- Helping to identify manual or repetitive processes and supporting more senior team members in reviewing potential improvements
- Providing support for change initiatives and new product activity within Operations
- Assisting with the management and tracking of items in the operational book of work, including OMS-related issues and enhancement requests
- Engaging with stakeholders to understand basic business requirements and escalating issues where appropriate
- Gaining exposure to end-to-end operational workflows and systems across Operations and the wider COO function
- Supporting the preparation of business requirements documentation and other project materials
- Building a solid foundational understanding of operational processes, systems, and controls over the course of the contract
Your present skillset:
- Eligibility: Final year students or recent graduates with a keen interest in Operations, process improvement, and the use of data and technology to drive efficient, well-controlled business outcomes.
- Interest in Operations & Improvement: Curiosity about how operational processes work end-to-end, with an interest in continuous improvement and operational change.
- Data Analytics Skills: Comfortable analysing large spreadsheets, validating data, and working through complex and high-volume datasets to identify trends, issues, and actionable insights.
- Process & Project Support: Experience gathering requirements, documenting end-to-end processes, and maintaining clear project trackers, logs, and records. Exposure to supporting operational projects and process improvement initiatives through structured administrative and analytical work is a plus.
- Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Strong organisational skills with clear, confident written and verbal communication. Comfortable engaging with stakeholders to understand basic business requirements, provide updates, and escalate issues where appropriate.
