Summary/Overview:

KBRA Europe is seeking a talented intern to join the Strategy Team. This internship will provide you with the opportunity to gain firsthand experience into the life of working at a credit rating agency and to learn valuable skills coveted in any corporate setting. You will have the opportunity to contribute and help author market leading reports and commentary on topics relevant to European capital markets.

KBRA's strategy team monitors and comments on macro-economic developments and their impact upon credit markets. The team puts forward a viewpoint for investors via commentary and podcasts. Analysis of various macro-economic data and market information help to form the KBRA strategy team views.

About You:

  • You excel in a fast-paced, intellectual, and friendly environment. You have a natural analytical aptitude towards problem solving and don’t mind rolling up your sleeves to get the work done.
  • To qualify, applicants must be legally authorised to work in the UK, and should not require sponsorship (current or future) for employment visa status.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide general analytical support for KBRA’s strategy team.
  • Prepare internal and external reports and presentations in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Develop spreadsheets and analytical materials to support the research process.
  • Evaluate economic data and corporate credit indicators.
  • Contribute to project and research support, including work on ESG (environmental, social & governance) initiatives.
  • Be exposed to senior level industry experts.
  • Assist our support departments with ad hoc tasks

Key Job Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate concentration in finance, economics, accounting, or math.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong appetite for knowledge, especially in data and finance.
  • Strong Excel skills. You must be able to easily manipulate and format large data sets.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as work closely with partners in a collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and general productivity is a plus
  • Be on track to achieve, or have already achieved, a minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent)
