A day in the life:

  • Support onboarding and monitoring: Assist with due diligence, onboarding, and ongoing oversight of merchants and intermediaries.
  • Stakeholder collaboration: Work with internal teams and external partners to help ensure compliance with Zopa’s policies and that risks are managed within agreed appetite.
  • Improve risk frameworks: Contribute to initiatives that enhance distributor risk and compliance processes.
  • Relationship management: Maintain effective working relationships with key contacts at each intermediary or merchant.
  • Maintain robust documentation: Keep organised and auditable records of due diligence, reviews, and key decisions.
  • Management information: Support the production and analysis of management information (MI) on key risk indicators across distribution partners.
  • Respond to information requests: Coordinate responses to due diligence and other information requests from partners, engaging relevant subject matter experts where required.

About you:

  • Experience working in a risk or compliance role is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail, with an ability to understand wider objectives.
  • A methodical and pragmatic approach to work.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Analytical mindset and clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively.
  • Interest in partnerships and distribution channels, including PoS merchants.
  • Confidence to question and challenge information and decisions where appropriate, internally and externally.

Bonus Criteria:

  • Experience interpreting and applying FCA guidelines (such as CONC) is beneficial but not essential.
  • Prior experience in partnerships or operational oversight is advantageous.
