Corporate Counsel will draft and negotiate commercial agreements, support UK and US sales teams, manage data protection and compliance matters, negotiate vendor contracts, advise on product design and corporate governance, and improve legal templates, guidebooks, and processes. The role requires independent, practical legal advice in a fast-paced fintech environment and is remote, reporting to the Associate General Counsel.

Own and drive the gateway-to-processor certification pipeline end-to-end: track statuses, manage processor/acquirer relationships, negotiate test scope, remove third-party blockers, coordinate with engineering, and ensure compliance with card network rules (e.g., PCI, Visa, Mastercard). Provide forecasting, reporting, and stakeholder communication to enable timely go-lives.

Lead design and delivery of reliability frameworks, tooling, and platform capabilities to improve uptime, observability, and operational maturity. Embed reliability into services, define observability and incident practices, contribute to production code, mentor engineers, drive cross-team technical direction, and participate in on-call rotations while reducing operational load through automation and standards.

Lead go-to-market strategy, positioning, launches, and enablement for NMI's Gateway, device, and vertical solutions (unattended retail, parking, medical, etc.). Translate technical capabilities into outcome-focused value propositions, drive adoption and revenue through sales and channel enablement, represent NMI at events and analyst briefings, conduct vertical market research, and influence product and business strategy with competitive and customer insight.
