The Comms Team is responsible for conveying Snap’s mission, vision and values to core audiences within our community, which include Snapchatters, advertising partners, content partners, investors, policymakers, and Snap team members. This passionate team works hard to show the world what makes Snapchat the best platform for communication and storytelling, and to ensure the narratives about the company, its people, and its products are accurate and compelling.

We’re looking for a UK Corporate Communications Manager to join our team!

What you'll do:

  • Be responsible for driving our corporate communications strategy, working closely with the UK Head of Communications to develop a comms plan for the UK business, leading on execution and collaborating with others.

  • Have responsibility for shaping and managing:  

    • Proactive corporate reputation and thought leadership campaigns: including developing campaigns, partnerships and thought leadership that highlights our contribution to the UK economy, technology leadership and growing community. 

    • Advertiser communications: educating brands and creative agencies about our products, strategy and creative campaigns, driving share of voice in key trade and vertical sector press (including retail, sport, luxury and FMCG).

    • Policy communications: education with media and industry stakeholders on our work to keep Snapchatters safe and the tools/resources available for our community. 

  • Oversee the corporate communications press office - including: 

    • Managing reactive issues and media cycles

    • Local management of sharing quarterly earnings updates with media

    • Key business updates and announcements 

    • Responding to the press office inbox 

  • Organise press briefings, develop media materials, prepare spokespeople for media interviews and speaking engagements

  • Build, strengthen and nurture key media relationships including national tech, business and industry trades.

  • Collaborate with and manage our agency partner to deliver a drumbeat of moments and coverage aligned to our business goals.  

  • Be a critical partner to cross-functional teams across the business, including Marketing, Policy, UK Sales, Talent & Partnerships, Creative Strategy and Business Insights - working closely to develop plans that support clear business objectives and needs.

  • Work closely with Snapchat leaders to build and implement impactful thought leadership programs.

  • Serve as a spokesperson for the media and be a trusted contact for reporters who rely on you for timely, accurate information.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Deep understanding of the media landscape in the UK, across national, business, advertising and industry trade media.

  • A proactive approach to creativity, offering new ideas and approaches to keep us innovating as a comms team

  • Strong stakeholder management both internally and externally

  • Experience of working on relevant corporate communications and b2b programs 

  • Strong news judgement and relationships with reporters, with a focus on accuracy 

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution and attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritise effectively to deliver against business priorities

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, make decisions, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines

  • Ability to build strong relationships cross-functionally and manage external partners

  • Implement smart use of tools like AI to help aide our comms function
