Job Description

Your Mission

We’re looking for a talented Design Program Manager to join our team in London. You’ll be joining our Servicing product tribe supporting teams across FinCrime, Risk Mitigation, Support, and Back-office Tooling. You will be leading strategic initiatives that intersect across the squads to coordinate and direct collaborative impact within our Servicing product tribe.

This role is highly collaborative, and the successful candidate will be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while working strategically to solve problems, build solutions, and maintain the day-to-day. Your ability to navigate ambiguity, engage stakeholders, communicate clearly, and understand the big picture are your greatest assets. Oh, and Design throws the best parties so you don’t mind getting roped into an event or two.

How We Work

The purpose of Design Program Management (DPM) at Wise is to align design efforts with business objectives, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and innovation. By driving complex, large-scale design programs that span multiple teams, squads, and tribes, DPMs enable seamless collaboration between design, product, and engineering. Through collaborative prioritisation and execution, DPMs ensure that design initiatives not only enhance our user experience but also contribute directly to business growth and product success.

Here’s how you’ll be contributing to Wise Design

  • Program Management - Bringing separate projects together to shape larger, more connected programmes of work, coordinating design resources to meet programme goals, milestones and quality expectations.

  • Stakeholder Management & Communication - Build relationships with stakeholders across the organisation to get buy-in and communicate programme objectives, progress and results regularly.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration - Facilitating collaboration in multiple cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive programme development, gain commitment and drive delivery.

  • Risk Management - Through structured planning, risk mitigation, and process optimisation, DPMs are identifying risks in design processes and mitigate potential blockers, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and accessibility guidelines.

  • Delivery Optimisation - Optimising design processes, workflows, knowledge management and standards to increase efficiency and consistency across projects and programs. Creating processes & frameworks that evolve over time to help deliver work in the most efficient way.

  • Design Operations - support design leadership in shaping the operating rhythm for Design in the Servicing Tribe, continuously improving key team processes and ways of working such as planning, resourcing, and design reviews.

  • Tracking and Reporting - Establishing KPIs to track design performance and effectiveness, and tracking design progress, manage risks, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Choose your path to impact - we believe people are most empowered when they have the ability to act with high autonomy and accountability

  • Grow your skill sets and gain experience, while you collaborate across teams and disciplines in a fast growing company

  • Elevate product quality. You define what ‘good’ looks like to your team. And you help them deliver it.

  • Be part of a positive change in the world. We’re fixing a broken, greedy system, and putting people and businesses in control of their money.

About you:

  • Experienced design program management professional with a deep understanding of Product, Content and Service Design

  • Experienced in leading and influencing senior groups of stakeholders at various levels

  • A builder of process with an acute understanding of the people and teams who will interact with the systems

  • Strong business acumen and ability to balance needs of the brand, the business, and the Design team

  • Someone who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys bringing order to chaos

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, understanding of importance of clear communication in a hybrid work environment

  • Experience working in a fast-paced mission-driven global organisation

  • Genuine passion for your work and the brands that you worked for, you're motivated by our mission

  • Experience in successfully managing cross-functional projects with complex stakeholder involvement, and complicated timelines and deliverables

  • Experience in a high growth environment and FinTech specifically is a plus

  • You might have a very nonlinear career. That’s cool -  we believe that prior experience can make you stronger, faster and wiser.
