Position Overview
Autodesk is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to play a key role in advancing Autodesk Revit, the world-leading Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring high quality software for the ongoing development and enhancement of Revit, focusing on solutions for electrical system design and detailing.

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, your work will have a direct and meaningful impact on the workflows of electrical engineering and detailing within Revit. The software you help build is essential to architects, engineers, and other professionals in the building industry, supporting the design of significant structures worldwide. From the tallest skyscrapers and largest airports to iconic landmarks, homes, and everyday businesses, Revit enables innovative design and construction projects across the globe.

Revit’s engineering team brings intelligence and efficiency to the building design and development process by solving complex software problems.  Your responsibilities will range across the stack as you work with the product owner, experienced designer, and other engineers to develop and maintain Revit.

You will report to the Software Development Manager.

The position is based in our Krakow office, employing a hybrid working model, and involves collaboration with globally dispersed stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Document test design, test plans, and test results.
  • Participate in test plan reviews with the rest of the QA and development team.
  • Manually execute test plans to find defects in features or products.
  • Add test automation using an in-house test automation framework.
  • Isolate and confirm defects and work with development to prioritize defects and fix them.
  • Write test cases based on real-world applications of the program.
  • Estimate, plan, schedule, and coordinate software testing tasks.
  • Work with the development team on solution design to proactively recognize and prevent issues from developing.
  • Simulate user experience and give feedback to product designers on design improvements.
  • Monitor customer and internal forums to detect defects in production software. Use knowledge of product and users to give feedback to Product Management about the severity and customer impact of defects on the report to prioritize a fix.
